Community

Getting connected at River City takes some work, and we want to be honest with you about that.

Real connection does not usually happen by accident. It takes showing up, giving of yourself, and letting other people into your life. We think that work is worth it, and we want to help make the path clear.

Community

City Groups

City Groups are one of the best ways people are known, cared for, and growing together in Jesus.

Service

Serve Alongside Others

Serving is not busywork. It is one of the clearest ways to meet people, give yourself away for the sake of the mission, and become woven into the life of the church.

Mission

Love People Who Need Jesus

Part of getting connected at River City is stepping into real relationships with people who do not believe what you believe, because they carry the image of God and we genuinely want them to know Jesus.

City Groups

Community is the first and clearest step.

One of the biggest values we hold at River City is being a community where people are known, cared for, and growing together in Jesus. One of the clearest ways to live that out is through our City Groups.

City Groups are small groups that meet weekly in homes around our city. They are a space to share a meal, bring life’s highs and lows into the open, pray for one another, and encourage each other in following Jesus in everyday life.

Think of a City Group as a family within the bigger family of our church.

This is also one of the main places where Scripture, prayer, repentance, care, and shared mission become normal patterns of life together. If you want to become connected at River City, this is where we would point you first.

Serving

Serving is one of the best ways to meet people because mission shared together builds real relationships.

Members of River City are joyful servants who serve our body in the church’s ministries and our community outside the walls of the church. As people serve together, they get to know each other while doing something meaningful for others.

It is one of the ordinary ways people become connected, useful, and invested in the life of the church.

Shared Mission

Part of getting connected is going after people who do not yet know Jesus with others from your church family.

We want to be the kind of church that builds deep relationships with people who do not believe the same things we do because they are genuinely beautiful, carry the image of God, and are worthy of real love and attention. We really do pray that we get to tell them about Jesus.

Shared mission does not just help other people hear the Gospel. It also binds believers together.
