What Happened This Weekend

We began by praying the Lord’s Prayer together and being reminded that God is holy, sovereign, and truly in control. The service included confession, communion, Scripture from Psalm 23, and a new sermon series kickoff on the life of David. Rather than giving us a polished Bible hero, Rob showed us David as a real person: someone who trusted God as his Shepherd, cried out honestly in seasons of pain, and needed deep repentance for real sin. The big turn of the morning was that David isn’t the final hero of the story—Jesus is.
